The Chisholm Trail Ranger had a strong showing at the district tennis tournament on Apr. 22-23 at Richland High School. "I'm very proud of how hard each and every one of our athletes fought for every point that was played. We had some great individual and team results," remarked Coach Michael.
The girls team clinched third place, anchored by Loea Andres, who secured second place in the girls singles division, marking her third consecutive trip to the regional tournament.
The boys emerged victorious, bringing home the gold as a team! Anchored by the boys doubles teams, the Rangers secured first and second place, with both teams qualifying for regionals. Cody Chaloupek and Adrian Lopez took first, while William Stine and Andrew Moreno secured second. Additionally, the mixed team of Gage Privett and Lily Randall finished in second place and earned a trip to regionals.
"I'm so proud of our entire team for playing so hard and being such good teammates to one another. It was a wonderful two-day tournament for the Purple and Gold!" Coach Michael expressed. The regional tournament is scheduled to be held at The Courts at McKinney on May 8.
