In their last non-district matchup on Thursday, Sept. 7, Chisholm Trail faced a formidable challenge against West Mesquite. The game saw the emergence of sophomore running back William Quintana, who earned his first start of the season and managed an impressive 173 rushing yards on 36 attempts. Quintana's outstanding performance also included securing the sole touchdown for the Rangers.

On the defensive front, the inside linebackers were relentless throughout the game. Junior Brandon Hawkins led the team with eight tackles. Junior Isaiah Burriel recorded six tackles, while sophomore Ethan Guthrie contributed with five tackles.

Chisholm Trail kicks off district play against the L.D. Bell Blue Raiders on Friday, Sept. 15, at 7:30 pm at Ranger Stadium. The highly anticipated home game is also the Rangers' First Responder Appreciation Night.
