Chisholm Trail opened the season with a 59-7 victory over Bryan Adams on Friday, August 25. Offensively, the Rangers had a strong showing in the run game with 504 yards on the ground and five different players reaching the end zone. Junior RB, Israel Kaloso, led all rushers with 165 yards and 3 TDs. Junior QB Brady Morrow accounted for 124 yards and 2 TDs. Sophomore QB Joey McGowan, connected with junior receiver Matthias Leach, for the Rangers' lone TD reception. Chisholm Trail's defense held tight all night and forced four Bryan Adams turnovers. Junior Sebastian Reyes and senior Nyout Arop both had an interception. Sophomore Jeremiah Gordon and senior Weston Freeland each had a fumble recovery. Junior Ryan Cortez was a standout on Special Teams with a forced fumble.
The Rangers have their home opener against Denton on Friday, September 2. Kick-off is set for 7:30 p.m.
